>Wedding Bells

>

My gentleman (and that he is, a gentle man) and I are going to a wedding in the Stellenbosch vineyards tomorrow. I am so excited! I am off to find a beautiful dress and lavish present for the lovely couple. Ah, my heart feels light and bubbly like the wedding champagne. I love the photo of these two lovebirds’ feet.

>I for African design

>

I really do have a heart and eye for South African design. I love looking at the different designers on Design Sponge. Especially Heather Moore, Chloe Townsend and Heath Nash. The man in my top three recycles scrap into beauty with his funky designs. He makes lightshades, light fittings, floor surfaces, candle holders and kitchen accessories all made from materials that would otherwise end up in the dump (or littering our beautiful country). These are beautiful designs. Heath creates employment opportunities at the same time. Good on ya.

>Hot choccie

>

I am at college and it is nearing portfolio hand-in date, plus I am blessed with the Queen bee who will enable me tomake beautiful babies, but she is not altogether welcome this week! Her sting makes me a grumpy bear who just wants, actually, needs chocolate. Doesn’t this hot chocolate look dreamy? And even more I love the paper construction of a hot cuppa somethin’. (And the cookies of course!). Have a little look at paper construction by Matthew Sporzynski.

>Shock Pink

>

Shocking pink was my most best, favourite (it makes no English syntax sense but i can’t express using enough superlatives) colour when I was small. The only problem? It clashed with my rich, auburn hair. I am loving this shocking pink leaf motif scarf and laces. Maybe I should go with the laces…further away from my head. Or maybe I should just go with the grey, but inside my litlle girl heart I’d go with both.

>I miss Gisele

>

I have a friend called Gisele Pitot de la Boujardiere. She is witty, kind and visiting the Democratic Republic of Congo in the middle of Africa, going to tell people about Jesus. It is so horrible to not be able to contact her, so I am sending love waves across the African sky to you, Gigi, wherever you are. I want to go record shopping in Long Street with you and eat a big piece of cake when you get back. She is brave and strong. I also put these owls on for you Gi, for wisdom. Strength, my friend. Xx
